Flowtec Construction is partnering with a general contractor based in Wheaton, IL , looking to add a Project Manager to its team.
The appeal is straightforward: interesting projects across Chicagoland, a close-knit team, access to the people making decisions and room to progress as you prove yourself.
You’ll take ownership of your projects, work closely with experienced field leaders and have a voice in how the work gets delivered.
The projects
A varied portfolio of ground-up construction, additions and major renovations , with typical project values of $5M–$40M , across:
- Commercial: Office buildings, business parks and commercial developments.
- Healthcare: Medical office buildings, outpatient facilities and specialty clinics.
- Education: K–12 schools, private education and campus improvements.
- Light Industrial: Manufacturing, distribution and warehouse facilities.
- Multifamily & Mixed-Use: Residential communities and developments combining living, retail and commercial space.
- Corporate Interiors: Office buildouts, headquarters renovations and tenant improvements.
- Hospitality: Hotels, restaurants and amenity spaces.
Projects are local to Chicagoland, with no traveling assignment or extended periods away from home.
Your role
- Lead projects from preconstruction and buyout through construction, turnover and final closeout.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, commitments and profitability.
- Partner with the Superintendent to develop realistic schedules and resolve delivery challenges.
- Lead subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, negotiations and contract administration.
- Build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers and trade partners.
- Manage changes, identify risks early and present clear solutions.
- Coordinate procurement and long-lead materials to protect the schedule.
- Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
- Deliver an experience that gives clients confidence to work with the business again.
The package
- $125,000–$155,000 base salary, depending on experience.
- 10–20% annual bonus opportunity.
- $750 monthly vehicle allowance plus business mileage reimbursement.
